Foku Chair

Overview

Inspired by traditional Japanese garden tools, the Foku Lounge Chair combines simple geometric forms into a sculptural piece of furniture. Named after the Japanese word for "fork," Foku draws from the design of rakes used in Zen gardens to create minimalistic patterns in the sand, reimagining this into its fluted seat. Layers of carefully selected foam ensure softness and comfort, highlighting the chairs voluminous and sculptural shape. Multiple Foku Chairs can be joined to create a cohesive sofa lounge arrangement, with each chair including two metal brackets for secure attachment. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the Foku Chair blends art and relaxation.
