The Sumo collection celebrates the human form, drawing inspiration from the voluminous shapes of Japanese sumo wrestlers. Each vase stands on narrow, pointed legs, featuring a variety of unique openings, from traditional narrow necks to double and deep-carved designs. This collection explores the balance between familiar vase shapes and artistic abstraction, challenging conventional perceptions of a vase's form. Designed to be striking as individual pieces or as a cohesive group, the Sumo vases embody sculptural artistry. Each hand-glazed piece may vary slightly in color and, while not fully waterproof, includes a liner for fresh flowers. Created by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, the Sumo collection blends bold design and refined craftsmanship.
